Some of my original artwork is currently being exhibited at Crossings Gallery for the month of May - the artist's reception (free and open invitation!) is going to be Saturday, May 11th from 6-7:30pm if any of you are local to Minnesota here. [link]

My show schedule (dealer's room) for the rest of the year is:
Anthrocon (Pittsburg, PA), July
Rocky Mountain Fur Con (Denver, CO), August
Midwest Furfest (Chicago, IL), November

If you'll be attending any of the shows, please stop by and say hi! :)

Do you plan on doing a stack of wild Canis species? If so, please, please, please emphasise the fact that the golden jackal is in fact more closely related to wolves and coyotes than it is to the side-striped and black-backed jackals. Indeed, it's more closely related to wolves and coyotes than the Ethiopian "wolf" is, yet no one seems to be aware of this.

Thanks in advance!

I might eventually get to them! Usually when I do the family stacks like this I mix the different groups with most well known members - not necessarily just the most closely related species within the group (or I'd probably leave out fox altogether which isn't fair in a wild canidae group!) - I wish there were enough jackals to make a jackal stack itself, they are such amazing creatures!

Well, if you do get around to it, here's my suggested stacking order from smallest to largest. Hope it helps!:

SS jackal
BB jackal
Golden jackal
Ethiopian wolf
Coyote
Gray wolf

These are all of the "Canis" genus, hence why I didn't add African wild dogs or dholes, and dingoes are simply a long feral population of domestic dogs (and by extension gray wolves). I didn't add the red wolf simply because its taxonomy is so damn conflicted at the moment.
