As I think most people know, Dark Natasha was recently in a bad car accident, and she's now home with her family recovering from the incident. She is a wonderful person and kind friend, and I wanted to send her something in support, hence this piece was born.

I know most people would consider it awful to send someone in the hospital a vulture, but here's a little on why I made it:

Vulture medicine teaches us to trust in the universe to provide for us; that if we follow our true path we will be taken care of. Vulture people tend to be resourceful and fully developed in the skills that they possess. Mess seems to follow vulture, but in fact vulture follows mess. They are excellent at the ‘cleaning up’ of problem situations – whether they are emotional, physical, or spiritual. Whatever the mess, trust a vulture to have an efficient, effective solution to it.

Though it gets a bad reputation, the vulture doesn’t cause chaos, it cleans it up. It makes the best of any situation – even those that seem unpleasant or horrible to other people.

I know that Natasha likes vultures, so I thought she may like this.

This is also the kick-off of my 100 birds series. I plan to make 100 wildlife miniature paintings of different bird species in the next year. Feathers, feathers, and more feathers!

Acrylic, 3x4".

I never really thought of a vulture that way before. After hearing it, I think this is a wonderful gift for her.

O_O Wow! What a degree of realism and lots of work on the small feathers! I really like it, and I´m sure Darknatasha will do too.
The beak is a crazy good job too. I love how it seems to be smiling.

Wow, amazing analytical concept - I had never thought of vultures in such a way. I didn't hear about DN's accident, please send her my wishes for her good health.
