Season's Solstice by Foxfeather248 Season's Solstice by Foxfeather248
11x18" acrylic and watercolor on watercolor paper.

This was a holiday card commission I'm not happy with, but it's December and so it goes to print, happy or not. The actual card image is a cropped version of this. For some reason I could *not* get this to scan correctly for the life of me... usually I don't have much of a problem scanning acrylics. Here it is, anyways.

This is very beautiful. The soft colors are calming, soothing, and pleasing to the eye. I love so much working with watercolor. I really should get back to working with it again. I think this would look beautiful as a set of stationary or seasonal cards.

Oh wow, Fox, those trees are awesome! You have great skill with watercolors, I must say so :) The pegasus is also great. I love the colors! The only thing that I could possibly suggest is to make the...is it the moon? brighter. Perhaps some white acrylics? But I know how it is when you've messed with something and messed with something and you are just DONE with it, regardless. But I say it's awesome!

Fox if you dont mind je saying so:
I belive even though you are silightly displeased with it, my own opnion you should professionally submit cards like this to publishers :3 i know If I saw a box of them I would buy them =) as would many other that I know of.
Its a beuaitful painting and literally the mood grabs you & drags you into the picture. you can just see your breath in the cold nights air..this really is one of my fav pieces that you have thus far produced. :)

Thank you :) Cards actually will be on sale, I have a really wonderful print company that runs them on a digital offset printing press. They will be up (eventually!) in the greeting card section of my website store. I'm getting a bunch extra made up with the customer cards.
